Nut Houch Art was very humbled to be the featured artist at the Cultural Academy for Peace Conference, sponsored by Cultural Connections in Lafayette, Indiana, during the month of February, 2014.

We were asked to create a special card to commemorate the event, titled "Women Spirit Rising".  Nut Houch Art rose to the occasion, creating cards to raise funds for this mission, and also dedicating a custom piece to Beena Sebastian, international adovocate for women and children who are victims of violence and human trafficking.

Cultural Academy for Peace works toward a gender-just society where models of domination and destruction are replaced by nurture and cooperation.  Located in Kerala, South India, CAP promotes programs to address violence against women and children, equal opportunities for women, and fundamental human rights for all persons. Nut Houch Art showed up completely resilient for WAMMFest this year. In other words, the rain storms didn't stop us from selling art like hotcakes!  This was our first year doing this festival, and we will be back again next year.

Garfield Park Fall Arts Show

November 23 & 24, 2015

Hands down, this was our best show to date!  Why?  Because we almost sold everything we had, and true art lovers showed up!  The show is such a art family oriented show with genuine sophistication.  A good steady flow of art appreciators were a welcome sight.  Mackenzie Nuttle, daughter of Angie, made her artist debut at the show and sold 7 of her 10 paintings.  It was an exciting and memorable time- three generations of artist in one booth!

Greenwood people come to buy, and they flocked to our booth.  This is the only show that we do crafts, so we brought our best and most whimsical snow diva lights, birdhouses, as well as our very popular art.  We were so busy that we didn't even time to walk around and see what everybody else had.  Good problem to have!

Columbus Art Festival

August 16, 2014

We were really excited to be at the Columbus Art Festival, and our art was featured in their local papers and art show advertisements.  It was hot.  It was steamy.  We sold a few things, but we realized that people were just curious and not really art purchasers.  The great news is that we ended up consigning some of our art with a local art gallery, Tri-State Artisans, and we have netted several sales since August!  There is a reason for everything!
